Emissivities and temperature scales of the iron group

H. B. Wahlin, Rufus Wright

The temperature scales have been determined for well-degassed specimens of the iron group and from these the emissivity for λ = 0.667μ is calculated. Over the range of temperatures covered the emissivity is nearly a constant except at the A3 point in iron where there is a sudden change. © 1942 The American Institute of Physics.
