The spectral emissivities of iron, nickel and cobalt have been measured over a wavelength range 1.0μ to 3.0μ and at temperatures between 650°and 1350°C. The results show anomalies in the cases of iron and cobalt occurring at temperatures in the neighbourhood of the respective Curie points. Tables of the temperature coefficients of emissivity for the three metals are given.
